I am a grandaughter of William Ashley Parker and Ara Isabell Wiggins. My parents are Luther Edward Collinsworth and Bessie Gertrude Parker/Collinsworth.My daughter and I want to find out what we can of our heritage. Thank you very much for what information i can get for the Parker Family. I was on one of the Parker sites ,but lost the e-mails I had that I communicated on the web site. I sent a check to Parker Heritage for a newletter and a book of Cynthia Ann Parker, have not heard from anyone yet.Appreciate any help. I think the book is about $22.00. I had sent 2 checks for $14.00 and $16.00 for the book not knowing it had gone up.
Thank you
Alvie May Collinsworth/Martin

Very interesting reading and research. I did not find a link to my Parker's but will come back and look some more. The farthest I could get back was P.M. Parker in TN or MS abt 1825. The DNA testing is very interesting, my Doughty side has been doing the testing as well.

Hi there,

Am not sure if this would be a connection for my Parker family line, but go ahead and have a look at my tribalpages. There are Parkers from Derbyshire and Yorkshire. The name died out early in my family line, and I have some information on other lines connected but not as much as I'd like. Feel free to email me if you'd like to see if we can find a connection somewhere back there in England :).

Hi, I am looking into my ancestory. My grandfather was Parker Parker from Arkansaw, He as an attorney there. Decendent from King Parker from Tenn, and George Washington Thomas Parker, the youngest son of King, attended medical school in Tenn. I'm not sure where to go from here.

Hey hows it going. My name is Max Parker from Santa Barbara, CA. My dads side of the family was originally from Salem, Massachusetts. Then they slowly moved west, first to Ohio and then to California around the turn of the century. My great-great grandfather would probably be the most easy to find out about: Walter F. Parker. He was a lawyer in Los Angeles around the turn of the century who lobbied for Southern Pacific railroads. I found his name in a book once. If any of you know more about him, it would be interesting to find out.

I am looking for information on the Parker's and ran across your site. My aunt used to tell me that we descended from Gen. Nathanial Parker, whose grandson also Gen. Nathanial Parker who fought against Wolfe in Quebec. I am not sure how accurate this is. The names in my family are Obidiah, Rupert, George, Charlie, many Ettas on the ends of the womens names.

I also had a letter from a Parker in the States several years ago inquiring about his Parker family. I think his name was Bob Parker. He was indeed in the right family but the letter got misplaced and I never was able to get back to him, so if you are out there Bob, get in touch again.

Hi fellow Parkers,
I was born a Parker in Scotland in what is known as the Scottish Borders so our family covers both sides of the Scotland England border.
We have a lot of history in our family and the Parker name goes back over a thousand years in fact to the Norman conquest and beyond.
I am married to Adrian Laikie who is from Perth Scotland. When we first got married we came out to Africa to do 2 years voluntry work. 30 years and 2 Sons later we are still doing voluntry work. We have worked in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya and right now we are running a charity for street children/Aids orphans in Zambia, southern Africa. Its a vocational training project that helps orphans and unwanted youngsters get jobs in things like engineering, carpentry, metal work building etc and its great fun but hard work
I know in my part of the Parker family some went to America and Canada and we have Indian people somewhere in our background.
Best Wishes Lyn Laikie
