The Parker Coat Of Arms

Letter from:  JTP to LMZ June 9, 1995

(My Sister) Joyce brought me a key ring from England with a PARKER coat of arms. It fits the descriptions of those described in the text (Book describing various coats of arms), and I am happy to learn that those animal faces are leopards, not just pussy cats. It has the three leopards, the chevron and a crest. The apex looks like a "bent" mansion with a bag (of gold) on top and a plume of three feathers(probably quills and we inherited the love of written word). The crest surround is leaves although formed at the top to look like dragon heads at first glance. It is truly a "park keeper" crest - peaceable, with no hint of the warrior. The leopards even look like they are smiling, but the text says they have arrows in their mouths. Interesting that these "arms" change slightly from family branch to family branch. Of course we don't know what ours really is, but I certainly can identify with this one.
